Be Careful How You Hear

With all the chatter in the air these days, we need to be careful how we hear. We also need to know that every thought that comes to our mind is not always ours, Satan works by suggestions. He's done this to mankind since the beginning.

Remember, that's what he did to Eve in Genesis 3:1. He dropped a thought simply by saying "hath God said?" Then Eve took the thought, ran with it as her own and added to the Word of God (Genesis3:2-3). Think about it.

Not only did she add to the Word of God, she established her actions (and life) on a thought that originated from Satan, it wasn't even her own. Her decision to act on Satan's words took her life off course and out of the will of God. The result, it touched (influenced) Adam, he followed her lead (which was actually Satan's lead), the fall of mankind occurred, sin entered the world and here we are today.

In short, it was a disastrous domino effect, all because of a thought from Satan that wasn't even hers. Eve took the bait.

Too, we don't want to do demons dirty work nor Satan's bidding by receiving and repeating everything we hear. And surely, not follow through on everything that comes to mind or whispers in our ear. While we DO have our thoughts, KNOW that every thought is NOT our own. Be careful how you hear.

Furthermore, be cautious of what we put in the atmosphere, don't give demons something to work with by what we speak.

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof," Proverbs 18:21. In other words, we shall live by the words we speak.

Take heed to what Jesus said in Matthew 12:36-37. "But I tell you, on the day of judgment people will have to give an account of every careless or useless word they speak. (37) For by thy words [reflecting your spiritual condition] you shall be justified and by thy words you shall be condemned."

Lastly, James 3:5 says....."In the same sense, the tongue is a small part of the body, yet it boasts of great things. See [by comparison] how great a forest is set on fire by a small spark!" Read verses 3-6 in the 3rd chapter of James for better understanding.

Again, be careful how you hear.

Blessings!
